Each term we come together to take part in a "Challenge Day". This term, to coincide with "Sports Relief" we had a day full of physical/team building challenges. Mr Hughes lead the children in activities including giant tyres! Miss Edwards set some athletics based challenges which tired a lot of us out! Mrs Peover got the children using their problem solving skills with some orienteering outside. Miss Cousins took the children on a imaginative trip to Africa and the Arctic to find some inner peace with yoga! A brilliant day, topped off with a house team obstacle race! Da iawn, pawb! Today is Mold's big Spring Clean. A lot of our pupils took part in making our school and the surrounding area a bit more clean and tidy! Fantastic job everyone!
(Springy even managed to catch up with Class 1 before their clean up session!) This years Eisteddfod will be held on Tuesday 1st March.
Nursery children will be doing a mini performance for mums/dads etc at 11 am. The main Eisteddfod will begin at 13.00 with Foundation Phase performing first followed by KS2. The children are welcome to wear tradition Welsh costume, Welsh sports club tops or the unform of a Welsh club they belong too (brownies, beavers etc.). Otherwise normal school uniform please. We are looking forward to this celebration! The Nursery Preference Forms for September 2016 have now been sent out (for return by 19th February). These forms have only been sent out to those parents who have registered an interest in their child attending St David’s Nursery, so if you know anyone with a child who will be 3 by 31st August 2016 who may be interested , please ask them to contact the school office on 01352 752651. For parents with slightly younger children (minimum 2 years 4 months), there are places available in St David’s Playgroup, which can be contacted directly on 07766 627615.
